Alix Soubiran introduces her new textile collection “Ma France.” This collection draws from historic wallpaper and textile archives. Alix gives new life to forgotten patterns through delicately painted details, reimagining them for contemporary interiors. She resizes, recolors, and recomposes the designs—layering them with other motifs, adding and removing elements—to create entirely new fabrics.

“Creating this collection felt like telling a new story through a collage of patterns once found in country homes and castles, from a time when wallpapers and textiles were all hand-painted by remarkably skilled artists. Some archives were incomplete or non-repeating, so I hand-drew and painted the missing sections. I see this work as a collaboration with artists from two hundred years ago,” says Alix Soubiran.
